Overview

The objective of this course is to introduce students to the key marketing concepts and their application in national and international context. This course explores the principles and practices of marketing in today’s dynamic business environment. It instils an understanding of marketing as a business discipline and a societal force, while also covering the key processes involved and ethical considerations central to marketing practices.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should be over 21 years.  A Level 7 qualification or equivalent is required.

Course Outcomes
On successful completion of this micro-credential, you will receive credits as per the European Credit and Transfer System. These credits are recognised by the awarding institution as credits aligned to learning completed at undergraduate level 8.

  2. Assess the need for market research and understand the research process.
  3. Evaluate consumer decision-making processes and the factors influencing such processes.
  4. Evaluate the key components of the marketing mix, including product, pricing, distribution and promotion strategies.
  5. Assess the fundamental requirements for marketing strategy and planning.
