At University of Galway, a growing number of alumni are joining us to ensure our students can enjoy a rewarding and supportive university experience.

Whenever and wherever we connect with our graduates, one thing is always clear – their genuine willingness to uplift others. That spirit of giving back inspires us daily and reflects our alumni’s lasting connection to University of Galway and the students who follow in their footsteps.

This May, as we launch our annual Alumni Fund Telephone Campaign, we look forward to reconnecting with members of our alumni community. These conversations, led by a wonderful team of current students, are an opportunity to share updates on the impact of the Alumni Fund and to warmly invite our alumni to support our students today by making a gift.

At the heart of the Alumni Fund is a simple, powerful purpose - supporting our students. It provides essential financial support in times of hardship, advances our access programmes and invests in our student wellbeing initiatives.

Every student’s journey comes with its own set of challenges – many of us can recall moments when support, encouragement, or opportunity made all the difference.

Today’s students, like many others, are facing increasing financial and social pressures. Through the Alumni Fund, we can provide tangible, ring-fenced support— not only helping students access university but to stay, succeed and graduate.
