Completing the Payment Form
Completing the Payment Form
When completing the payment form, ensure that the correct work dates are entered with the corresponding payment value per date. The dates recorded on the timesheet/payment form determine the individual's PRSI contributions for claiming Social Welfare Benefits.
Managers must ensure that all employees receive their annual leave and public holiday entitlements. Payment for these should be shown separately on their timesheet.
- For information about annual leave entitlements, please refer to the rules for calculating annual leave on the Citizens Information website.
- For public holiday entitlements, please consult the rules for part-time employees on the Citizens Information website.
Authorization Section: Complete Required Fields
It is crucial to ensure that the authorization section on the payment timesheet is fully completed. This includes providing all necessary details and signatures required for approval. Incomplete authorization sections may result in delays or issues with processing payments.
Submit Timesheet(s) from Valid Email
To facilitate smooth and efficient processing, the budget holder or their delegate must email the timesheet from their own designated email address to the Bureau. It is important to note that generic or shared email addresses cannot be used for this purpose. Using a specific email address associated with the budget holder or delegate helps maintain accountability and ensures clear communication with the payroll timesheets bureau.
By completing the authorised section on the payment form or timesheet and sending it from a valid email address, managers contribute to the seamless processing of payments and enable effective communication between relevant parties involved in the payment process.
IMPORTANT: To avoid issues with processing multiple timesheets in one email, only 3 timesheets will be accepted per email.
Payment Process and Timesheets
Employees should be paid the month following the work period to ensure correct tax and PRSI deductions. Delays in payments can impact social welfare entitlements and revenue records. Please review the payment process and timesheet information here.
Payments for these individuals are processed in alignment with the Monthly Paid Employees Pay Date (click here).
