If you are going abroad in spring 2025, you should make sure you have either attended the live online pre-departure briefing that took place in December 2024, or viewed the video which has been sent to you by e-mail.  For a summary, please refer to the slides from the pre-departure briefing for Semester 2 outgoing students.  Note that you MUST complete a Mobility Assessment before you go abroad.  You can find information about this towards the end of the pre-departure briefing and in the video which has been sent to you.

You can view the slides from the Study Abroad Preparation Meeting that was held on 26/03/25 and 01/04/25. Aimed at students of the College of Arts who will commence study abroad in autumn 2025, this event was part 1 of your study abroad preparations, and it covered topics like the application to the host university, accommodation, academic planning and the learning agreement, financial planning, and insurance.  The information session also included useful hints and advice.

There will be an online pre-departure session in August (date to be announced) to help you with your final preparations for moving abroad.  It will include a pre-departure checklist, and we will look in more detail at topics like insurance, culture shock, personal safety, and getting the most out of the study abroad experience. It will also deal with the Mobility Assessment (risk assessment) that all students will have to complete before departure.  There will be tips and advice from students who were abroad previously.
