Progression Pathways (Further Education)
Progression Pathways (Further Education)
Those who have successfully completed QQI awards (Level 5 or Level 6) may be seeking opportunities to progress to part-time University level courses. If so University of Galway has a range of part-time progression pathways that offer flexible routes to advance your education to a level 7 or Level 8 award.
Some of our courses also offer advanced entry to those who have a further education award. If you have successfully completed a major Level 6 award, achieving an overall distinction, and have experience of working in a specific sector, this might be worth exploring.
Many of our part-time undergraduate courses do not require you to have prior learning at Level 5 or 6 but if you do, you may find that the transition to University level learning is easier and more manageable. Building confidence in your ability to learn is a real motivator to successful learning achievement.
Learning Supports
Here at University of Galway we also offer a range of supports that will assist you in a smooth transition to third-level learning. Check out our Student Services webpage to read about the learning supports that are in place to guide and assist you.
