Sin Newspaper

Sin (Student Information Network) Newspaper is University of Galway's student newspaper. It comes out every month for the academic year, taking a break over the Christmas holidays. 
The newspaper is an up-to-date source of Galway and national student news. It features upcoming events, both on campus and around Galway City, providing previews and reviews of events held by both clubs and societies.

Getting involved

Sin offers a great opportunity to get experience in journalism, photography, design, and other areas of newspaper production. You can get involved by turning up to our weekly meetings or by contacting the webmaster.

Flirt FM

Flirt FM is Galway's student radio station, which broadcasts on 101.3FM to Galway City and surrounding areas. The station also broadcasts online 24/7/365,  and you can listen back to shows on https://www.mixcloud.com/FlirtFM_Archive/

The station offers an alternative to locally available commercial radio. Listeners can tune into specialist and Irish music, news updates, local and college event guides, and chat and weekly magazine shows produced by university students, societies and community organisations.

Flirt FM is one of only three full time student stations in Ireland (Wired in Limerick and UCC 98.3 make up the trio). It broadcasts Monday to Saturday, taking breaks for Christmas, Easter and August exam periods. You can expect coverage of important events from the Students' Union Elections to city and campus festivals.

The station is home to 120+ volunteers a year, you can apply to volunteer online here. Whether you want a career in media, or to just share your interests on air, Flirt FM is for you. You can also earn University Skill Passport Digital Badges to mark your learning and progress.
