Ben Steele

Liberty IT Director of Architecture, Galway

Ben is the Director of Architecture and the site chair of our Galway operation. He is responsible for guiding our architects and engineering teams who work globally across our insurance products. He also supports the growth of the leadership at our Galway site in line with our company values and culture. Ben partners with Global CIOs on platform strategy and most recently transformed our European & SE Asian operations onto a unified Insurance Ecosystem, supporting billions in revenue.

Throughout his career at Liberty, Ben has progressed from a developer to a chief architect. He is passionate about delivering scalable cloud architecture, supporting the Galway technology community, and focusing on well-architected solutions.

Before joining Liberty IT in 2010, Ben worked in professional consultancy in London Fintech and HP Galway, where he met his wife.
