Biography

Stacey Scriver is a Lecturer with the Discipline of Gender and Women's Studies, School of Political Science and Sociology at University of Galway.  She has been Director of the MA Gender, Globalisation and Rights since 2018. Stacey's recent research has focused on the social consequences of gender-based violence, menstrual equity and the feminist ethics of research. She has worked on issues including political ideologies and identities, religion, conflict, and GBV through a feminist/gendered lens. 

Research Interests

Stacey has worked on issues including political ideologies and identities, religion, conflict, and sexual violence and gender-based violence. Recent works have focused on the social impacts of violence against women and girls, menstrual equity, and feminist ethics of emotionally demanding research.
