Argentine Ambassador Ana Laura Cachaza, Minister Nicolás Vidal and Consul Juan Andrés Taccetti are pictured here with students and staff of the Spanish Discipline in the Hardiman Building after their screening of the legendary Argentine film Camila (1984) by María Luisa Bemberg last Thursday in the BOI Theatre. The story has an interesting connection to Ireland with Camila O´Gorman being of Irish descent, a 19th-century Argentine socialite.
It was a very enjoyable and successful event!
Before the screening
Prof Patrick Crowley, Head of School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures welcomed the Argentine Embassy and addressed the audience before the screening of the film.
