BA Global Experience
BA Global Experience
All 2nd Year BA Global Experience non-language students were required to attend an introductory information session on 5th November 2024, hosted by the CASSCS Mobility Officer. Attendance at this session was mandatory for everyone who wishes to study abroad.
You can view the slides from the BA Global Experience Study Abroad information session.
Students on this programme will soon be invited to complete an application indicating their preferred study abroad destinations and the reasons for their choices. Essential information sources will be a table of CASSCS study abroad partners and subject combinations, and the Appendix to the study abroad application form 2024. (Both documents have been updated on 15th November, and the application form will be e-mailed to students on 15th November.)
COSTS: An important consideration for anyone planning to study abroad is finance. The International Office website has some useful information on Financial Planning for Study Abroad, including a very helpful document showing the estimated costs for non-EU destinations.
Language students will initially be advised about study abroad by the Erasmus academic coordinator in their language discipline(s)
Students should keep in mind that due to the limited number of exchange places available, they may not be allocated a place in their preferred destination: they would then receive an offer for an alternative destination.
In February/March, students will be nominated to their host universities abroad.
Please pay careful attention to e-mails from the CASSCS Mobility Officer and from your host university abroad, and remember that your first communication from your host university may initially land in your spam folder.
