9.  Our unique location

If ever there was a city that was not too big, not too small, but just right, it’s Galway. Galway has all the advantages of a city, such as easy access to culture, shopping, and entertainment, and few of the disadvantages. This compact city sits on the river Corrib where it enters the sea, with beautiful places to swim, kayak, hike, climb, or birdwatch right on its doorstep. And our campus sits just at the edge of the city, with less than 10 minutes’ walk taking you to the heart of Galway.

Being a postgraduate is about your course of study, but it’s also about expanding your outlook and life experience, and Galway is teeming with opportunities. Whether you want to discover the city’s history and culture, explore its magnificent hinterland, volunteer with one of its many NGOs, or just sit back and enjoy it, it’s all there waiting for you. Safe, friendly, and accessible, this young city is perfect for a postgraduate experience like no other. Read more about Galway here.
