Joe Smyth
Senior Vice President of R&D for Digital & AI at Genesys
Joe Smyth is Senior Vice President of R&D for Digital & AI at Genesys. Joe leads a team of over 350 AI practitioners and is Site Lead for Genesys Ireland. He has held senior management positions in Nortel and Cisco before co-founding Altocloud, a Galway based AI startup in 2013.
Altocloud was acquired by Genesys in 2018 and Joe has since grown the Genesys team in Ireland from 22 staff to 440. Joe holds more than 10 patents in Voice over IP, Unified Communications and AI and mentors a number of startups in Ireland.
