Discipline of Gender and Women's Studies

Gender and Women's Studies advances interdisciplinary research on gender, power, equality and social justice in local and global contexts. Research examines issues including gender-based violence, human rights, migration, work, political participation, development, media and social change. Combining theoretical and empirical approaches, the discipline contributes to academic debates while informing policy and advocacy on gender equality nationally and internationally.
