The Social and Political Theory Research Cluster recently hosted a book launch and roundtable discussion to celebrate ‘Social Media Frenzies: Digitalized Agitation and Social Change’,  Dr Diana Stypinska’s latest book.

Colleagues from across the University and beyond joined the event, which featured a conversation chaired by Dr Vesna Malešević with contributions from Dr Stacey Scriver, Dr Jody Moore-Ponce (UCC), and Dr Tom Boland (our Visiting Scholar from UCC).

The book launch was warmly received by academic staff as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students, and marked the first time undergraduate students were encouraged to attend this type of event in the School. The strong turnout reflected their interest! The roundtable discussion prompted numerous insightful comments and questions from an audience whose engagement with the topic was both enthusiastic and thoughtful.
