The School of Political Science and Sociology welcomed its new postgraduate students at a special MA Welcome Event in Áras Moyola recently.
The event brought together students joining a range of programmes across the School, including the MA Child, Youth and Community, MA Gender, Globalisation and Rights, MA Public Policy, and MA Social Work programmes. The evening provided an opportunity for students to meet their new classmates, connect with staff, and learn more about life within the School and the wider University community.
The School was delighted to welcome the Mayor of Galway City, Cllr Helen Ogbu, who is also an alumna of the School. The Mayor addressed attendees, welcomed them to Galway and encouraged them to make the most of their time in the city. Head of the School of Political Science and Sociology, Niall Ó Dochartaigh welcomed the new students to the School and wished them well as they begin their postgraduate studies.
