Postgraduate Opportunities
We offer a range of courses at the postgraduate level.
Taught Postgraduate Courses
- GYA41 M.A. in Spanish
- GYA42 M.A. in Translation Studies (Spanish plus another foreign language)
- GYB 78-81 PhD in Spanish Students research a selected topic to be agreed between the student and a potential supervisor from the Discipline. Research entails independent study of the selected area with the aim of producing a PhD thesis in four years, combined with the study of a range of relevant modules. Potential research areas include topics in Spanish and Latin American literature and culture, as well as areas of linguistics and translation. Some financial assistance may be available for students undertaking postgraduate research in Spanish; inquiries should be directed to the Head of Discipline. Qualifying for research
Students who are accepted on a research degree programme normally have a First Class Honours or 2.1 degree at undergraduate level.
