Congratulations to Chloë Brouwer
Congratulations to Chloë Brouwer, who was both Highly Commended and also named as a Regional Winner for the Island of Ireland at the Global Undergraduate Awards (2024) in the category of Classical Studies & Archaeology!
Chloë's awards are based on her Final Year undergraduate essay, 'She Put A Spell on You: A Study of the Speeches and Supplications of Medea in Apollonius' Argonautica.'
This marks yet another outstanding achievement in a series of successes for our students at the Global Undergraduate Awards:
• 2023 – Martin Sykes (Highly Commended) – 'From Uruk to Cooley: the Importance of Examining the influence of Mesopotamian Work on European Heroic Epic'
• 2020 – Edward Foster (Global Award Winner) – 'Bouddica's Rebellion: A Re-Evaluation of the Popular Narrative'
• 2020 – Edward Foster (Highly Commended) – 'A Psychological Examination of Dehumanisation in Julius Caesar's De Bello Gallico'
