The School has a strong record of attracting competitive research funding and developing ambitious projects across Geography, Archaeology and Irish Studies. Supported by national and European funding, this research brings together academic, community and international partners to address environmental, cultural and societal questions through fieldwork, collaboration and applied research. Current projects demonstrate the breadth of this activity, from climate adaptation across Atlantic coastal communities to archaeological research on long-term landscape change in the west of Ireland.
