A delegation of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) from the Regional Development (REGI) Committee visited Ireland from February 24th to 26th, 2025, to evaluate the impact of EU cohesion funds in the North West and Midlands regions. The visit underscored the critical role of supporting local development and promoting innovation in rural communities. Hosted by Irish MEP Maria Walsh, the delegation also welcomed Associate Professor Maura Farrell, who was invited to speak on the role of women in agriculture at the Agricultural College in Mountbellew.
