Associate Professor Maura Farrell was an invited speaker at the EU Commission's "Women Step into Farming" event in Dublin on March 5th, 2025. During her talk, Maura highlighted the EU Horizon Project, FLIARA (Female-Led Innovation in Agriculture and Rural Areas), and its impact on empowering women in the sector. The event, held in celebration of International Women's Day, provided Maura with a platform to discuss the unique challenges and opportunities that women face in farming, as well as the importance of fostering innovation and inclusion in the agricultural industry.
