The College of Arts, Social Science and Celtic Studies and the School of Education are delighted to congratulate Professor Cornelia Connolly on her appointment to the Royal Irish Academy (RIA)’s Engineering and Computer Sciences Committee for the 2026–2030 term.
Bringing a unique interdisciplinary background that spans Computer Engineering, an MBA, and industry consulting Cornelia’s teaching and research consistently draws from the related disciplines of computing and education. Through her research and policy engagements, Professor Connolly connects rigorous scientific discovery with educational practice, ensuring that technological advancement serves culture, inclusion, and the wider public good.
Her appointment to the RIA Multidisciplinary and Standing Committees reflects the breadth of this work. Warmest congratulations Cornelia!
