The Centre for Applied Linguistics and Multilingualism (CALM) aims to promote research in the area of applied linguistics and multilingualism as well as to increase the awareness of issues related to language learning, language processing and multilingualism within NUI Galway and the wider community.
Tá sé d'aidhm ag an Ionad um Theangeolaíocht Fheidhmeach agus Ilteangachas (CALM) taighde faoin teangeolaíocht fheidhmeach agus faoin ilteangachas a chur chun cinn agus cur le feasacht faoi cheisteanna a bhaineann le foghlaim teangacha, próiseáil teangacha agus ilteangachas laistigh d'OÉ Gaillimh agus sa phobal trí chéile.
Le Centre de linguistique appliquée et de multilinguisme (CALM) vise à promouvoir la recherche dans les domaines de la linguistique appliquée et du multilinguisme, ainsi qu'à développer la sensibilisation aux questions liées à l'apprentissage des langues, au traitement du langage et au multilinguisme, au sein de la National University of Ireland de Galway et dans la communauté en général.
Il Centro di Linguistica Applicata e Multilinguismo (CALM) mira a promuovere la ricerca nel campo della linguistica applicata e del multilinguismo, nonché ad aumentare, sia all’interno di NUI Galway che nella comunità in generale, la consapevolezza riguardo alle questioni relative all'apprendimento delle lingue, all'elaborazione del linguaggio e al multilinguismo.
El Centro de Lingüística Aplicada y Multilingüismo (CALM) tiene como objetivo promover la investigación en los campos de lingüística aplicada y multilingüismo además de llevar a cabo una importante labor de sensibilización sobre temas relacionados con aprendizaje de idiomas, el procesamiento de lenguaje y el multilingüismo dentro de NUI Galway y con toda la comunidad en general.
Das Zentrum für Angewandte Linguistik und Mehrsprachigkeit (CALM) hat als Ziel, Forschung in den Bereichen der Angewandten Linguistik und der Mehrsprachigkeit zu fördern und das Bewusstsein zu stärken für Themen, die mit Sprachenlernen, Sprachverarbeitung und Mehrsprachigkeit zusammenhängen sowohl innerhalb der Universitätsgemeinde als auch in der breiteren Öffentlichkeit.
Celem Centrum Lingwistyki Stosowanej i Wielojęzyczności (CALM) jest promowanie badań z zakresu lingwistyki stosowanej oraz wielojęzyczności, jak również zwiększanie świadomości problemów związanych z nauczaniem języka obcego, przetwarzaniem języka oraz więlojęzycznością w obrębie zarówno NUI Galway, jak i szerszych społeczności.
CALM is located in the Moore Institute for Research in the Humanities and Social Studies and is affiliated with the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures (College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies) and the Discipline of Speech and Language Therapy in the School of Health Sciences (College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences). It is also linked to the new MSc in Applied Multilingualism.
