What We Do
The Bursar's Area comprises the following offices:
The Financial Accounting Office is responsible for the production and reporting of statutory financial information and audits, tax compliance, and financial governance. In addition it is responsible for the management of all payments to staff (payroll and expenses), suppliers, and for receipt and banking of all income (student fees, government grants, and other income) and for developing the policies, processes, and systems, pertaining to same.
The Management Accounting Office, is responsible for providing objective, timely and accurate financial analysis and management information to support the University Management in strategic and tactical decision making processes. It is responsible for the development and maintenance of systems for financial planning and control at every level of the University. It is also responsible for contract research income which is managed by the Research Accounting Office.
The Pensions & Investments Office, is responsible for managing all pension schemes and all university investments.
