Bursar's Office Team

Aoife Tuohy (B.Sc. Acc, FCA), Director Financial Accounts, is responsible for the University's Systems of Internal Financial Control, Statutory Reporting and audit, tax compliance, and for the receipt and payment of all University income and expenditure. 

Aoife is a graduate of UCC, and subsequently trained as a Chartered Accountant with PwC.  She has held senior financial positions both in the multinational sector and in the third level educational sector before joining University of Galway.

Declan McGrath (B.Comm., FCA), Director of Research Accounts, is responsible for operationalising Research Finance strategic planning. He has direct responsibility for the Research Accounts Office including research budgets, financial reporting and accounting, invoicing, cost share transactions, management of overheads and project closure.

 Declan is a graduate of University of Galway, and prior to joining the Bursar's Office, held a senior financial position in Science Foundation Ireland.

Delia Boyce, the Bursar's Office Manager, is responsible for all communications including correspondance, meetings and diary management.  Delia also acts as Recording Secretary and provides administrative support to the Capital Programme Committee and the Finance Resource Committee.
