RESEARCH
I am researching the parameters in space-based telescopes that would provide the best outcomes for directly imaging extra-solar planets (exoplanets). This includes working with simulations and writing python code to analyze simulated telescope images for exoplanets. We are looking at variables that include star-planet brightness ratios and locations, as well as telescope lens size and noise levels, among several others. The future of exoplanet research calls for direct imaging for detection and analysis of these planetary bodies, this research aims to further that area of study.
