Research Updates September 2022
- On September 14, Giuseppe took part in the one-day workshop "Peatland at the forefront development of multi-physics models" (hybrid format) at the University of Nottingham, UK.
- Mark Ryder (IRC) and Aisling Mac Aree just started their PhD with Mark.
- Cian O'Brien (2020 PhD graduate with Rachel and Kevin) is now a Lecturer in Mathematics at Mary Immaculate College in Limerick.
- Hannah Conroy-Broderick (2020 PhD graduate with Michel) is now an IRC postdoctoral fellow at UCD, following a postdoctorate fellowship with Stephan.
- Last week, Andrew was invited to present "The dangers of age adjusted outcomes" at the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit, University of Bristol.
- Andrew is a co-investigator on the recently announced €1m Cisco-Curam Clare Island Digital Health project, and will hire a postdoc on this project soon: https://www.siliconrepublic.com/innovation/university-galway-digital-home-health-project-clare-island
- Victoria attended a QMATH Masterclass “The mathematics of quantum entanglement via nonlocal games" from 15th-19th August, held at the Centre for the Mathematics of Quantum Theory, University of Copenhagen (Denmark).
- Victoria presented a poster and gave a talk at the All-Island Quantum Festival held at UCD on 29th and 30th of September.
