Pauline and Bunnie Jones CAO Scholarship
Pauline and Bunnie Jones CAO Scholarship
The ‘Pauline & Bunnie Jones Scholarship’ was established to promote excellence and celebrate academic achievement in secondary schools in Co. Roscommon. The Jones Family is the benefactor of this scholarship which will be awarded through Galway University Foundation, and the value is €2,500 per student per annum for the first 4 years of study (total value of €10,000 per student).
There are four Scholarships each year:
- 2 x scholarships to students of Scoil Mhuire, Strokestown
- 2 x scholarships to students of any other secondary school in Co. Roscommon
Awarding Criteria:
- The scholarships will be awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence in their Leaving Certificate and progress to undergraduate studies at University of Galway.
- Four scholarships will be awarded based on the highest Leaving Certificate scores achieved in any one year.
- The award will be limited to a maximum of one medical student only per year.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the award, students are required to
- Register their interest in the award by completing the online scholarship application on or before 1st August.
- Have applied for any full-time UG course at University of Galway via the CAO.
- Upon receipt and acceptance of CAO offer, register as a student of University of Galway by the due registration date.
- Have attended and sat the Leaving Cert at any school in County Roscommon.
Expression of Interest Form
The Expression of Interest Form for 2024 is now available HERE. Expressions of Interests will be accepted until 1st August 2024.
