Ireland Healthcare Scholarships
Optum Ireland is part of United Health Group (UHG) and has a significant operation in Letterkenny, County Donegal.
The regional program is delivered by Optum Ireland in partnership with the University of Galway and aims to promote diversity in higher education and contribute to culturally competent care by supporting young people from Donegal who come from less advantaged and non-traditional backgrounds.
The regional program provides two dedicated scholarship to the University of Galway at the value of €25,000 for the term of the undergraduate course.

Application Details
- Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria and have applied for one of the designated undergraduate courses. The courses and the criteria are set out in the Scholarship Booklet (Link to booklet)
- Application Form and Reference Form.
- The deadline is 5pm, Friday 19th April, 2024. Digital and hard copies of the application form and reference will be accepted. Applications must be sent to Nodlaig Ní Bhrollaigh at the Optum Windy Hall Campus, Letterkenny or by e-mail to nodlaig.brolly@optum.com.
- The fund is administered by the University of Galway an annual basis subject to the scholar being in good academic standing and fulfilling the relevant terms and conditions.
