Nanoscale Biophotonics (Home)
Nanoscale Biophotonics Laboratory
The Nanoscale Biophotonics Laboratory (NBL) is a research group involved in advanced bioanalytical science with particular focus on biopharmaceutical analysis for manufacturing.
One of our missions in the NBL is to interact closely with biological manufacturing community to drive the adoption of more advanced spectroscopy and chemometrics techniques for specific high value bio-analytical applications such as protein characterization and bioprocess monitoring. This is underpinned by fundamental research in spectroscopy and bio-physics.
We see ourselves as a translational research group, taking advanced research techniques from the laboratory to industry....with many detours into fundamental photophysics research of complex systems.
Multiple large-scale SFI awards and industrial collaborations have set the foundations for this multi-disciplinary research group, providing the instrumentation, collaborative leads, and research themes.
