The College of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences Research Ethics Committee

The College of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences (CMNHS) Research Ethics Committee (REC) was set up to provide research ethics approval for undergraduate and taught postgraduate students from across all disciplines in the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences. The objective of the CMNHS Research Ethics Committee (REC) is to safeguard the health, welfare and rights of human participants in research studies as well as the student researchers conducting those studies. For any research proposal to gain ethical approval it must be necessary and of a design that minimises predictable risk to both the research participant and the student researcher.
