Here's why we think you should choose a Professional Credit Award with us:

• Each module stands on its own so you can do just one OR you may be able to gain an exemption for the module if you continue your studies at postgraduate level.
• Module workshops may be delivered face to face and/or online. Preliminary schedule of workshops
• Our modules are 5 or 10 ECTS per module at level 9.
• We have a number of years experience of delivering flexible learning modules and you will receive support throughout the module with any technical worries you may have.
• There is also a non-refundable application fee of €35.

• The closing dates for applications are:
  • Modules starting in September 2026 - Closing Date - Friday 26^th June 2026
  • Modules starting in January 2027 - Closing Date - Friday 30^th October 2026

• NU6446 Quality of Life and Symptom Management in Children's Palliative/Complex Care
• NU6622 Clinical Supervision: Supporting Continuing Professional Development
• NU6523 Maternal, Infant and Family Health (cost €1,800)

Starting in January:

• NU623 Clinical Governance: Supporting Safe Practice (Core)
• NU634 Dementia Care: Transforming Practice
  
• NU568 High Dependency Maternity Care Save and approve
• NU644 Student-centered Teaching & Learning: Active Engagement Strategies

The following module is not offered as Professional Credit Award/Micro-credential in academic year 2026-2027.

• UCD_NU6445 Specialist Understanding of Complex Care for Children
• NU6886 Ultrasound Guided Peripheral Intravenous Cannulation (5 ECTS, 6 weeks)
• NU6887 Insertion of a Midline Catheter with Ultrasound Technology (5 ECTS, 6 weeks)
• NU6888 Inserting a Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (5 ECTS, 6 weeks)
