Join us for our lunchtime seminar ‘Labour Migration and Racial Exclusions’ with Favour Offia this Thursday, September 26th, 2024, from 1pm to 2pm in the ICHR Seminar Room.

Favour Offia is a final year Doctoral Candidate at the Irish Centre for Human Rights, School of Law, University of Galway. He is also a Junior Technical Officer for the Fair Recruitment Initiative in the Labour Migration Branch of the International Labour Organisation in Geneva, Switzerland, where he conducts research and supports ILO's project and programmatic work on a rights-based approach to labour migration. His doctoral research focuses on the link between labour migration and human trafficking of migrant workers for forced labour along the East Africa and Gulf Cooperation Council migration corridor. His research has been published in Social and Legal Studies, and in ICHR Working Papers on the IRC funded joint project with Refugee Law Project, Makerere University. Favour graduated from the LLM in Peace Operations, Humanitarian Law and Conflict programme at the Irish Centre for Human Rights in 2018.
