Public International Law

This module is intended for students with little or no knowledge of public international law. The main objective of the course is to provide students with an overview of the fundamental notions and methodology of public international law. The course will equip students with the skills required in order to envisage legal dimensions of human rights issues.


Format: Twelve three-hour seminars. Each seminar consists of a theoretical introduction and class discussion of relevant international instruments and decisions. Students are expected to undertake required readings in preparation for each seminar.
