Parking Notice 

You can get a free permit for your visit tomorrow through APCOA at this link   

• Please create an account if you do not have one already 

• Select “apply for permit” 

• Search of University of Galway if it does not bring you directly to the University of Galway permits 

• Select “IHDI 10 October”

The permits are for the University’s Park and Ride Car Park Only. It is serviced by a shuttle bus (timetable here).

Free parking: 

• Permits have been arranged to facilitate access to the Park & Ride Car Park ONLY. Please note that this car park also has very limited space available. To get to this car park, please use the Corrib Village entrance to the campus (directions are detailed above). 

• A shuttle bus will be in operation from the P&R car park to the main campus - Timetable. 

• Please ensure to park in white line spaces only. Payment is required if you park in blue lined spaces. All illegally parked vehicles, including cars not registered for a conference permit, will be clamped. 

Please note: 

• Your permit/P&D ticket allows you to park in specific places and you must familiarise yourself with the zones. 

• Allow plenty of time on your first visit to campus with your car. 

• Please note you may park on the main campus without a permit after 17.30 and on Saturday/Sunday.
