Launch of Institute for Health Discovery and Innovation Launch Event
On October 10th, 2024, the official launch of the Institute for Health and Discovery takes place in the Bailey Allen Hall on the historic grounds of the University of Galway. This event will showcase and outline the Institute’s ambitions and goals for the future and includes the launch of the new Technology Service Directorate in the University of Galway. The Technology Service Directorate is a campus wide initiative to consolidate the management and delivery of state-of-the-art core facilities available in the University of Galway.
The programme for the day includes national and international speakers to talk on the importance of research, funding mechanisms, and the future of health discovery and innovation. Moreover, there will be representatives from industry in the areas of life science and medtech, as well as those manufacturing the latest technologies to enable research.
The Institute for Heath Discovery and Innovation, and the new Technology Service Directorate, in collaboration with the Institute for Clinical Trials at the University of Galway, mark a dedicated and consolidated approach to enable, facilitate, and empower exceptional researchers and research to thrive in the West of Ireland.
