Health and Safety Authority E-Learning Health and Safety Courses
All staff should be aware that the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) provide a number of free short e-learning courses which are accessed through the HSA website. Courses are listed by topic or work sector.
Courses should be completed by relevant NUI Galway staff and records of completion added to the Unit’s health and safety training records. Staff should self-register using the above HSA link.
Digital badges are available to students participating in the HSA Choose Safety Programme (see Note 2 below).
Also see this link for various HSA short topic videos.
Note 1:
A Group Manager facility is also available for those who wish to provide the HSA e-learning course to a group of learners within their Unit.
This allows Heads of Units, managers or tutors to register groups of learners to take the course and remotely monitor their progress. Full details on how to access the “Group Manager” facility are available under the FAQs section on https://hsalearning.ie.
Technical queries can be emailed to hsasupport@enovation.ie
Note 2:
The HSA issue digital badges to students in post-primary schools or colleges of further education in the Republic of Ireland who participate in the HSA Choose Safety Programme. A digital badge is an on-line symbol or indicator of an accomplishment, skill, competency or interest. See this HSA website link for further details.
