University Safety Statements
What are University Safety Statements?
As part of the University of Galway Safety Statement each Head of Unit is required to have and annually update their Unit Safety Statement. On behalf of the President and Údarás na hOllscoile each Unit provides their updated Unit Safety Statement to the Health & Safety Office. The Safety Office check that the main requirements are in place. It is the responsibility of the Head of Unit to provide a valid Unit Safety Statement. Heads of Units complete training and sign a declaration verifying their personal responsibilities.

RESPONSIBLE "Doer"
The person or group who is assigned to ensure the works is completed to meet the goals, objectives and overall quality as expected, who will report to the accountable team as to progress, and calls out any risks or impediments to that success
