Accident/Near Miss Reporting
What is Accident/Near Miss Reporting?
The University of Galway as an employer must report certain notifiable accidents and dangerous occurrences to the enforcement agency - the Health and Safety Authority. In advance of that, as a matter of good practice the University requires an accident and near miss reporting process to prevent their recurrence, learn from them and for insurance purposes.
