Disability Support Service
Our Disability Support Service (DSS) ensures that students with disabilities or specific learning difficulties receive the necessary accommodations to succeed academically. Counselling Services
The Student Counselling Service offers confidential support for personal, academic, or financial issues. Our team of qualified counsellors are here to help you navigate any challenges you may face. Chaplaincy
The Chaplaincy service offers pastoral care, welfare support and spiritual guidance to the students and staff of NUI Galway.
Safe Campus
The Safe Campus initiative is designed to raise awareness about maintaining a safe campus and raising awareness of personal safety wherever we are.
SafeZone is a free app for campus safety—download it from Google Play or the App Store . Use it to check in, call for help, get medical assistance, receive alerts, and report non-urgent issues.
Security Services
Security Services is located at No. 14 Distillery Road in the centre of the campus. The control centre is open 24/7 with security on patrol round the clock.

Foundation Programmes
University of Galway works with a number of providers who offer foundation programmes for students who do not currently meet the University’s English language requirements.
