University of Galway believes firmly in the value of forming close partnerships with world-leading theatre practitioners, and to that end, we have entered into partnerships with a range of companies and groups.

Druid Theatre - University of Galway and Druid have agreed a 10-year strategic partnership building on the existing relationship between the University and the renowned creative arts company.

University of Galway will be Druid’s exclusive academic partner, with the company offering internship opportunities and working to strengthen and enhance the success of University of Galway’s Creative Arts programmes.

The Abbey Theatre - students have access to the full archive of the Abbey Theatre at the Hardiman Library on-campus, providing hundreds of scripts, videos, images and more.

Galway International Arts Festival - students apply to participate in the annual SELECTED programme, which provides unique behind-the-scenes access to the Arts Festival. The University of Galway campus also plays host to many GIAF events each year.
