Dr. Darragh Colgan Darragh Colgan is a Medical Device R&D leadership executive consultant known for delivering innovative and pioneering medical technologies to market, in challenging complex, and transformative business product portfolios. Darragh has over 25 years of experience in Medical Device Product Development and Operations Management.
During his time as VP of R&D at Boston Scientific, Darragh was successful in delivering full product portfolio strategy, leadership and execution across the entire product life cycle, and delivering global launches and lifecycle management of Class III and FDA 510k products, particularly in the Interventional Cardiology and minimally invasive sectors.
Darragh has integrated complex acquisitions and 'early-stage' technologies, as well as nurturing organic technology and product development. He has successfully driven business transformations across technology, culture and organizations, to lead through ongoing business change and adapt to creating the greatest competitive advantage.
Darragh specializes in New Product Development Strategy & the full spectrum of the product Life Cycle planning, and helps companies who do not have a need for an executive level CTO/Head of R&D. Darragh is the holder of multiple European and US medical device patents, and is a Fellow of the Irish Academy of Engineering.
