Inclusivity by Design
Inclusivity by Design: Creative Technologies and Community Engagement
The Centre for Creative Technologies hosts this three-day workshop between November 5th and 7th 2025 on Inclusive Design, which brings together creative practitioners, researchers and community groups to explore co-creation in the community setting.
Inclusivity by Design invites participants to explore art-practice and design thinking approaches to the inclusive use of creative technologies. Led by multi-disciplinary artist Jo Mangan, coordinator of the annual SPACE Programme artist residency, the workshop takes place across the Burren College of Art, the University of Galway Ideas Lab and the Centre for Creative Technologies Studio.
We have invited expressions of interest from those interested in exploring the potential of creative technologies for enabling co-creation, community engagement and cultural participation, including from:
- creative practitioners across any discipline or medium
- community organisations/community leaders
- technologists
- designers
- academic researchers
Spaces on the workshop are strictly limited and funded by the Centre for Creative Technologies; attendees must commit to attending the full three days.
