Prof. Gary Donohoe is the Irish lead on a 8.5M new program designed to investigate the benefits of three youth mental health interventions (walk-in clinics, a self-esteem intervention, and a moderated online digital intervention) in 8 countries and led by the University of Maastricht. The allocation of this funding comes at a crucial time when the need for new interventions is widely needed that can be delivered at scale to prevent and treat the early stages of youth mental ill-health. A key feature of the program is the inclusion of young people in all stages of the research from design to delivery.
