Emeritus colleague, Mary Cawley, was invited to deliver a Keynote Lecture at the 4th European Rural Geographies Conference at the University of Porto, entitled ‘Reinventing rural space(s) through community based tourism’.
The lecture drew on research from the UISCE project conducted in collaboration with Professor Stephen Hynes and Dr John Deely, SEMRU and Discipline of Economics, University of Galway, funded by the Marine Institute under grant-aid agreement PDOC/19/07/01
