Dr Eugene Farrell held field classes at Grattan Beach this week for second year students registered in the module 'Coastal Environments'. Students surveyed the beach to assess if it fulfilled the blue flag award criteria; investigated the ecosystem services provided by a dune-based nature based solution and reported on the pressures (and solutions) to the natural and anthropogenic coastal systems.
