A big congratulations to Dr Tomy Ncube who successfully defended his PhD thesis yesterday, with no corrections!
Tomy’s PhD focused on how social protection, particularly social assistance can be deployed to address climate change impacts, examining internal displacement in Zimbabwe.
Thanks to Prof Michael Collyer, Head of Geography, University of Sussex and Dr Kathy Reilly who examined Tomy, and to Prof Cathal O’Donoghue who chaired the Viva. Tomy was supervised by Dr Una Murray and he is also grateful to his GRC which included Prof Maire Mahon, Prof Cathal O’Donoghue and Dr Peter McKeown.
