Bronnadh an Apple Distinguished Programme ar an Máistir Gairmiúil san Oideachas mí na
Feabhra 2015 agus ba é an chéad chlár tríú leibhéal lasmuigh de Mheiriceá a ghnóthaigh an
gradam seo.

Bronnadh an gradam den dara huair ar an Máistir Gairmiúil san Oideachas do na blianta
2016-2018 ar na mallaibh.

Leis an ngradam seo, tá an Máistir Gairmiúil san Oideachas aitheanta an athuair mar chlár le barr
feabhas san nuálaíocht, sa cheannródaíocht agus mar eiseamláir oideachais maidir le húsáid na
teicneolaíochta san oideachas.

Ghlac Ceann nua-cheaptha na Scoile, an tOllamh Gerry Mac Ruairc, in éineacht le stiúrthóir an
chláir, an Dr Brendan Mac Mahon leis an ngradam, thar ceann na foirne MGO, ó Éanna Ó
Brádaigh, Bainisteoir Forbairt Gnó san Oideachas, Apple.

The Máistir Gairmiúil san Oideachas (MGO) programme, offered by the School of Education, NUI
Galway, was again recently awarded the prestigious Apple Distinguished Programme for
innovation, leadership and educational excellence 2016-2018. This award identifies centres of
excellence in the use of technology in education.

Gerry MacRuairc, the School of Education’s newly appointed Professor of Education and Dr.
Brendan Mac Mahon (MGO Programme Director) accepted the award on behalf of the MGO
programme team, from Éanna Ó Brádaigh (Apple).

In February 2015 the Máistir Gairmiúil san Oideachas (MGO) was the first third level programme
outside of the USA to be awarded the Apple Distinguished Programme award.
