There are a number of supports available both on and off campus for those considering starting their own company.   ‌‌

Innovation Office supports collaborations and exchange between our research community and industry. Also support the vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem among our students and staff, and in the region..

IdeasLab is University of Galway's student innovation hub. We fuel student creativity, ideas and innovation

There are a number of enterpreneurial competitions that are open to students - these could be a useful way to test out your idea, or to get a plan in place. These may be shared by academics, SU, or others. There are some listed here (you must be logged into your Office365 account to access)

Local Enterprise Offices have supports in place e.g., www.localenterprise.ie/Galway/ includes resources on setting up a business plan and direct financial assistance.

ISME the Irish SME association have advice and links to supports available.
