On 30th January, postgraduate students from the LLM in Criminology, Criminal Justice and Human Rights attended a play based on the life of Paddy Armstrong at the Town Hall Theatre, along with doctoral research Salvador Leyva, Dr. Mulgrew and Dr. O’Mahony.

During the LLM, students have discussed issues related to Miscarriages of Justice. This play inspired by Paddy Armstrong’s memoir, Life after Life, a Guildford Four Memoir. The play explores his childhood and early adulthood, the causes and impact of his wrongful conviction and long imprisonment, as well as his release and life afterwards.

The Life and Times of Paddy Armstrong was directed by playwright, author and documentary maker Mary-Elaine Tynan, was performed by Don Wycherley.
