News & Events Judge Kearney Talk and Internship Opportunity

The Law Society and Women in Law Society in conjunction with the School of Law is delighted to host a talk with the Hon. Mark A Kearney, judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Judge Kearney's talk will focus on the role of the advocate, his work as a federal judge, and in what will be of particular interest to 3rd and final year students, a summer internship available to University of Galway law students. Judge Kearney will be joined by Oisin O'Neill Dwyer, a 4^th year BCL student who participated in the internship last summer and Petrina Sheridan, who completed the internship a number of years ago.

Judge Kearney will join the event by Zoom. Attendees are encouraged to attend in person but if that is not possible they can also join online.
